Jesse's Song Making
Guitar Lesson #1

Lesson #1 - Get The Full Sound Out Of All The Chords In Jesse's Easy Chord Chart By Playing Some Of Them As Bar Chords

Just use Jesse's Easy Chord Chart Version II

The Guitar-On-the-Spot.com website and the original version of Jesse's Easy Chord Chart (in your free e-book) have simplified versions of some chords to make them easier for you to play.

You may notice that when you first make up songs in the Key of G, when you play Chord 3, B minor, you only play the three thinnest strings. This is a simplified version of B minor. Jesse's Easy Chord Chart Version II shows you the full bar chord version of B minor and the other previously simplified chords so you can get the FULL sound out of the chord.

Jesse Easy Chord Chart Version II
Jesse’s Easy Chord Chart Version II below is almost the same as Jesse Easy Chord Chart in the free E-Book, except this version includes some bar chords. Before you use the chart, here's a review of how to play bar chords.

How to Play Bar Chords Review
This review is in the Guitar On the Spot website under Guitar Basics - How to Play Bar Chords. It is also in Basics 3 - How to Play Chords in Three Steps in the free E-Book: Guitar On the Spot - How to Make Up Songs.

Chords can be played in many different places on the guitar neck as bar chords

  • When you play a bar chord, you use one finger as a “bar” to push down more than one string at a time. This is represented by the bar chord symbol in the diagram on the right. Look at the index finger in the photo.

How to Play the Bar Chord G Major

  • The "3 fr" on the right side of the G Major diagram above tells you which fret number the chord is played on. At first, playing bar chords can be tiring for your hand, but after some practice you’ll get used to it.

Alternate Fingerings

  • Some chords have an alternate fingering to give you an option to use different fingers.

How to Play the Bar Chord B Major with an alternate fingereing

  • The alternate fingering is noted in parenthesis on the top of the B Major chord diagram on the right. The photo shows this alternate
    fingering.

Guitar On the Spot Using the Code

Do you have the ambition to play the guitar, but you can't quite piece it all together?

In Using the Code you’ll discover the simple code that you can use to play the guitar.

You'll use it to make up your own songs, solos and riffs up and down the guitar neck, jam with other people and figure out how to play simple songs, solos and riffs by ear.

You don’t need to read notes.
You don’t need to read tab.
You don’t need any experience.

I’ve spent the last four years trying to find ways to learn scales with chords, riffs, etc.  This hasn’t happened until I researched your work and purchased your book.

You have taken difficult learning methods and composed your own more understandable learning techniques.

It's the best learning tool I have discovered in bookstores or the internet.

You have done wonders in helping people like me to better understand the guitar.

-Dave Stigen, Sparta, WI

"When I saw the book I thought oh it’s just another book. You know I've looked at a lot of books and they basically remind me that I need to practice various chord patterns and shapes and notes, it’s all about practice, but with Jesse’s book, it allowed me to practice in a more effective way that really benefited my guitar playing."

"It brought all those things that I thought were vastly beyond my abilities down to my level of understanding so that I could apply them and improve my skills."

"I think it’s a great way to start if you’ve never played because you can just use this whole formula that he’s developed to enhance you’re playing and to learn."

-Jon B., MI

I give you an 8 week complete money back guarantee, so if you decide it's not what you're looking for I'll give you your money back.

If you've been reading a bunch of books trying to “figure it out” (that’s what I did, it took me years) and you're still confused, just check out the code and see if it clears anything up for you. You have nothing to lose.
